Healing Hearts

I just got back from an awesome retreat. It was a gathering of pastor’s wives who have already completed a study course through Healing Hearts. Imagine being healed from painful events in your childhood or being reassured that your sins are forgiven. So much of what we do (or don’t do) is influenced by our upbringing. Although God had healed my heart of many things such as: growing up without a father and enduring bitterness from my mother, God uniquely used this study to reveal something unknown to me.

After the death of my son last year and went through feelings of betrayal by God. I started to lash out at my husband, blaming him for all my frustrations and was short on patience with my toddler. It became chronic and upsetting since I didn’t know what was wrong. I really didn’t like who I was becoming. Through the study I had harbored feelings against God for taking Isaac home.

I was so broken to realize I was harboring such feelings toward God; whom I love so deeply. It was a healing time the God used to show me the root of my bitter ness-sin. Through confessing those dreadful feelings and asking the Lord to cleanse my heart and renew my mind, He graciously did so.

I can’t say enough about this resource for any woman who wants to continue in her walk of spiritual growth and healing from painful experiences in life. All of the women in the retreat have been changed through the study and it was evident by the genuine fellowship we shared together.

If you are interested in this online course, please go to the following website: www.healinghearts.org What is so wonderful is that it is completely confidential and you have another believer guide you through the study and is committed to pray for you and encourage you along the way.

Thankful to the one who heals all our hearts.

Till next time.

  1. Hello Monique, Thank you for sharing with us. I’m sure it took lots of boldness and courage to open up. It has been a hard road to travel and so far away from home if you still miss Cali. I wanted to spend alone time with you last year when we went over there, but now I see you were going through so much. We prayed for you constantly as a team, but I did not want to step over any boundaries. I saw such a difference this year in you and I know you are still going through it with Isaac. I don not know if you will ever be okay because a part of you is not there. But our blessed assurance is that he is with Jesus and you will see him soon 😉

I was so glad to have you over at our house this summer, just wished we had more time to talk. I pray you have a good circle of sisters you can go to for prayer and let your hair down and just be real and open. Please do not hesitate to ask how I can pray specifically. I know it has been challenging with the body over there. You guys are doing great and just keep pointing them to the Word and the Author. May The Lord bless you beyond your wildest imagination. • Thank you so much Susie for your love and kindness. I can say that God is so faithful to bind up the brokenhearted. My heart had been broken over saying goodbye to Isaac so soon but God keeps his promises to not give us more than we can bare. I can speak about him without pain or sorrow now; a testament of the goodness of God. Even though I am so far from home I am not too far for God to comfort me in all my distresses. My experience has served well in ministering to women hurting and broken. God is working it together for good. Thank you for praying for me, I truly need it as I serve Him on the field. Again, thanks for thinking of me and writing to tell me so. Bless you dear friend.

  2. Mo – thanks for this! I’m curious to learn more – can you let me know which study you did? The site goes through a couple of things so wanted to be sure I saw the right one you were referencing. Thanks!

    • Hi Jane,
I took The Hem of His Garment. If you click on the icon on the home page (scroll down) it will explain it all. There is another study called Binding Up the Brokenhearted which addresses post abortion issues. They do have one study for men called Wounded Warrior which is for men who were affected by an abortion performed on their unborn child.

Can’t say enough about it. Truly Christ centered. Every women who I have spoken to who has taken it has been touched by God and changed in someway.
